Summary: Client has 9 different schools with "End of Life" AP's and wanted to replace all the existing AP's utilizing the ERATE program. In addition, there were a few locations that felt that they needed additional AP's to improve the WiFi coverage.
Challenges: With the input of the client, WCA designed a timetable and "Scope of Work" for the approximately 30 AP's in 9 different schools for an approximate total of 270 AP's. WCA scheduled the facility installation with the clients approved timeline with minimal interruption to the school workflow.
Solution: WCA designed a plan for the complete replacement of the existing AP's and then provided a complete proposal for clients desired solution and within the ERATE parameters.
Benefits : WCA's solution implemented at Framingham Public Schools (9 Elementary Schools) included the following details:
- The WCA assessment created an Scope of Work and work timeline for the complete replacement of all current AP's in 9 different facilities
- Additional new AP's were installed in the areas that had poor connectivity
- All locations/ AP's were tested and confirmed upon completion
- Minimal interruption to the daily workflow and knowledge transfer final report to the network administrator
Project Results: The proposed Design was implemented and completed successfully.
