Established in 1947, a leading regional distributor of security products started as a small supplier of electrical supplies, equipment and appliances serving the Providence, Rhode Island area. By 1986 this organization established a sister location in Milford Massachusetts. The Providence Rhode Island facility has grown to over 30,000 square feet, and combined with its sister Milford Massachusetts location, this organization has become a valued trading partner to customers all over Southern New England. As this organization was expanding on their Milford location, they contacted WCA looking for a next generation communication platform to provide real time interactive voice and video between clients in the Milford location and this organization’s customer service agents in Providence.
Newington Public Schools is a school district located just south of Hartford, Connecticut. The district has 4,500 students enrolled in Kindergarten through 12th grade. Newington Public Schools has a culture of excellence throughout the district which is driven by strong community support. WCA and Newington Public Schools worked together to start a 1-to-1 program. Newington Public Schools implemented the program initially with faculty to get them comfortable with the new system. This prepared them well for instructing students on how to effectively use the devices when the 1-to-1 program is extended to them.
In September of 2012 Tewksbury Public Schools planned to open the new Memorial High School consisting of 218,000 square feet which serves 1,100 students. The school was designed and constructed to support the new 21st century pedagogy of interactive, engaged learning.
