Network Documentation
Regardless of whether you retain your own staff or outsource your Information Technology needs, you MUST understand the structure of the network as a whole in order to conduct quick and effective troubleshooting. Whalley Computer Associates has developed a service that can provide you with the necessary detail and architectural visualization needed to operate, troubleshoot, support and maintain control of your network.
By laying out the network in our Site Manual, it is easy to conceptualize just how data flows across your network. Too often, a company's network documentation is done by different groups in different formats and stored in different locations. No single group has a complete picture of the network. As a result, all troubleshooting efforts are hampered by the inaccuracies and/or lack of documentation and consistency.
The multi-purpose network documentation in our Site Manual shows mission- critical application data paths and dependencies. Configuration information from your network components are used to create the geographical definition of your system's connectivity including topology overview, network infrastructure connectivity points, routing schematic, patch panel detail, network device details, the network service it provides and it's associated failure/fault tolerance. Whalley Computer Associates Site Manual will give you an accurate roadmap of your network, which will increase your configuration control and troubleshooting capabilities.
