Configuration

Whalley Computer Associates employs five configuration specialists and provides over 300 feet of bench space to prepare your computers. This allows WCA to reduce your technology procurement, configuration, imaging, deployment and maintenance costs.

We are able to configure products at a much lower cost than our customers can for several reasons:

The large volume of computers prepared, combined with repetition of a    documented proven process, leads to efficient, consistent, high quality results.

Our highly motivated configuration specialists do not require the certifications that our customer's all-purpose technicians do and as a result provide exceptional service at a lower cost.

With 300 feet of bench space, each technician can be involved in configuring as many as ten computers simultaneously.

The configuration specialists are highly motivated knowing that excellent performance is required for them to progress in their technical careers.

Imaging

Whalley Computer Associates technicians can create a standard image and use it to reduce the time and costs required to load software onto your computers.

Many companies are still installing their software packages one at a time. This process is very time consuming, tedious and costly. Whalley Computer Associate's imaging team is anxious to assist you in creating a standard image of your company's commonly used software applications. Once accomplished, our configuration technicians can image your computers in a fraction of the time at a fraction of the cost.

By having a constant standard image, you will reduce your trouble shooting time and maintenance costs.

Our imaging team provides this service for corporations large and small all throughout the United States and internationally. They are highly motivated with an environment designed for high volume and efficient imaging. Some of the largest corporations in the region have done a cost analysis and made the decision to out source this function to WCA. We also provide this service for smaller companies that don't have the expertise in house.

Testing
Over ten years ago Whalley Computer Associate invested in the construction of an Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) to reduce infant failure of the computers we sold to a customer whose product's reliability was directly affected by the reliability of the notebook we sold them. The temperature ranges from 42 to 104 degrees on a regularly scheduled interval.

WCA technicians run a full battery of tests to force hardware failures to occur in the WCA ESS rather than at your company. If your company requires computer hardware whose reliability is greater than the industry standard, ask your account representative about this service.

This valuable option is a service that is available to all our customers at a very reasonable fee.
