One of the fastest growing services at Whalley Computer Associates is configuring servers, loading the operating system and deploying them for our customers. In fact recently, WCA provided 199 servers to our customers in one month. Several factors allow WCA to prepare a server at a lower cost than our customers.
Server hardware and software constantly changes. Unless you are producing servers frequently, everyone is different. Our technicians may be slowed once by the changes, but they are able to utilize that knowledge gained in the next few hundred units that they build.
Our configuration specialists do not require the high-level network certifications that our customer’s all-purpose network technicians do. That, combined with the large volume of servers they produce, our configuration specialists tend to be faster, more focused and cost less than the typical network engineer
We build more than one hundred servers each month and our configuration technicians have access to over 300 feet of bench space, as a result, they can work on multiple servers simultaneously.
