Whalley Computer Associates Receives ISO 9001 Certification for EvTek computer systems - (March 11, 2002) |
Whalley Computer Associates, based in Southwick Massachusetts, announced today that they have received ISO 9001:2000 certification for assembly, test, and servicing of their EvTek line of personal computer systems. ISO accreditation is formally recognized throughout the United States, Canada and Europe. Through registration, Whalley Computer Associates becomes a member of an elite number of firms registered to the ISO 9001:2000 standard for quality systems. ISO9001 certification confirms that Whalley Computer Associates complies with a defined level of quality in business activities that include documentation, process control and product quality.
“This is a significant achievement for Whalley Computer Associates,” says Paul Whalley, WCA’s Vice President of Sales. “This validates the effort that our company has put forth to develop quality products and to have them assembled under a stringent quality system,” he adds.
The registration approval was received from Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance (LRQA) following an extensive independent review of the Company’s quality management system. ISO 9001:2000 is an internationally recognized quality management system standard of the International Organization for Standardization. Worldwide, ISO 9001 registration is recognized as a measure of the integrity of a company’s quality processes. The ISO 9001:2000 standard is designed to provide a basic framework and guidelines for companies to establish a foundation for consistent quality management to achieve customer satisfaction. The ISO 9001:2000 is the result of integrating and revising the three former standards of ISO 9000 family: ISO 9001, ISO 9002 and ISO 9003.
